C-Red is a rapper and songwriter from Tallahassee, Florida who currently resides in the greater Houston, Texas area. She started rapping in middle school, most heavily influenced by Nas’ Illmatic, and has continued to work on her craft throughout her academic and professional life. Her path as an artist and creative has been different than most of her counterparts, as she has always pursued education and music with the same dedication and passion. She is currently a fourth-year medical student who recently matched to urology residency.
In 2021, she started #WhiteCoatWednesdays, posting verses on her Instagram profile every week, to give a glimpse into her commitment to her grind as an artist and as a clinician. This caught the attention of world-renowned drummer, Chris Daddy Dave, who invited her to perform at his monthly residency show in Houston after seeing her post a verse flowing over "Cuffin Season" from his 2020 album with Daniel Crawford.
C-Red hopes to inspire listeners to never box themselves in, be afraid to exercise both sides of their brains, or unlock their full potential. She released her most recent EP, entitled HEIR (Having Everything Inside Revealed) on February 2, 2022.
